Chemical Vat

Easily my favourite printed terrain piece so far. The chemical vat by Mike Heitzig, makes for an amazing addition to any industrial battlefield and perfect for skirmish warfare.

Storage Vat

A vat from Rob B on thingverse. It makes for a great industrial terrain feature with good height and width for blocking line of sight.

Orangutan Ogryn

We had a contest at Salute 2018, to see who could purchase the ugliest model for under £5. I won with this chap and his two brothers.

Sadly I cannot remember the name of the company or find them online.

Salute 2018 Speed Paint

At Salute I took part in a 20min speed paint competition. I lost, but I got to keep this amazing model.

When I got home I decided to highlight and re-base her.

Marisa won her competition straight after and came away with a nice goody bag of prizes.

3D Printed Scion

I decided to test the capabilities of my printer and attempted to print a 28mm scion. He is a little hairy but that is to do with the heat settings. Overall I am pretty happy with the quality. It is no GW plastic, but he makes for a good proxy or RPG sci-fi guard.

The Scion is sculpted by John King.

Sandy Pox Walkers

The first 15 out of a 42 pox walker commission for my clients Deathguard army. I started with these 15 as the base coat primer that my client had applied created a sandy texture that absorbed the paint.

They were a tough job, the detail was hard to render in places and washes were fairly non existent.

The Hill Giant

Duncan Louca's hill giants are amazing. This is the second one I have painted but the first one to be based. He was a dream to paint. I never thought I would enjoy painting (or own) a naked fat anything.

He created quite the outcry in DnD and the party took pity on him. Now he works tending farmland on the coast, instead of being a mounted trophy on a wall.

Hag of the Forest

One of three hag sculpts by Duncan Louca. The file is set to be printed at 28mm but I decided to make her more imposing and instead scaled her to 60mm in height.

3D Printed Cargo

My first terrain piece! 3D printed and painted within 4 hours. This and its twin will be hitting the tabletop tonight, to provide cover for lesser plastic entities.

Designed by Lord Farzenbobble.

Duncan's Proxy Taurox

Duncan Louca's proxy Taurox was the first large 3D print I attempted. It went horribly wrong twice due to my set up. the second time I refrained from binning the vehicle and instead filed down the mistake and reprinted the front.

The reject that became a Taurox
Now as you can see it barely resembles the mistake that it once was. Aside from a slight groove and some green stuff in the side, he looks pretty good.

Duncan's Kickstarter is live for only 3 more days. You can get this Taurox model and much more for a mere £55!

Little Zillas

These little cuties from Capsule Chibi, were painted by my girlfriend Marisa Saunders, while I was painting the mech rabbit set. Despite not painting them myself they were too cute not to upload.
