An Army Leaves the Battlefield

Today I am listing my Canis Aureus forces on eBay. I haven't played a game of Warhammer in 6 months and they do take up a lot of space. Space I would prefer to use for fantasy and DnD.

My 40k models do not really have much of a multipurpose use, whereas my other models do and get used a lot more.

We have won wars and trophies, but now it is time to let them move on and forge a path without me.

The Twins and More Critters

The first from the Carnival for the King Freak Show. The two Geller-fused mutants and another set of critters for the petting zoo. They like to live inside their rib cage of a home.

Petting Zoo Critters: Group 1

Every carnival needs a petting zoo!

"Be careful of the fangs, oh and the stingers, the slime... maybe it's best you just stay out entirely."

The First Clown

I decided to enter Armies on Parade. The date for entry is the 13th of October. 3 Weeks isn't long but its enough. This is my first miniature painted specifically for the display. The first Clown of a fair few.

Chemical Vat

Easily my favourite printed terrain piece so far. The chemical vat by Mike Heitzig, makes for an amazing addition to any industrial battlefield and perfect for skirmish warfare.

Storage Vat

A vat from Rob B on thingverse. It makes for a great industrial terrain feature with good height and width for blocking line of sight.

Scabeiathrax the Bloated: The Forgeworld Archdaemon of Nurgle

This guy was my main present for my 30th birthday. I am thrilled with him and he was a job to paint. So grim that sometimes when I look at him, he makes me feel slightly unwell. He is by far the largest model that I have painted and also one of the most fun.

He was collected on one of my visits to Warhammer World.

eBay Cultists

Last week I purchased 20 cultists on eBay for a bargain price.  They came today and I painted 11 and one custom genestealer cultists/daemonette (Back left)

Trying to keep to my rule of when it turns up paint it, otherwise it will just become part of the never ending pile...

A Knight Approaches

A friend acquired two imperial knights for a mere £80.  He didn't need both so I bought one.  Even though the pink had some appeal, I wanted to match it to my army.  Before painting this the Deredeo was the largest miniature I had painted.

Sticking to my policy of trying to paint miniatures the day I get them, I painted this the same day I received it and finished the highlights the next morning. Despite my apprehension I am very happy with him.
